Omega Fatty Acids
Virgino is rich in both the essential polyunsaturated fatty acids omega-3 and omega-6 in the proportion ideal for the human body. Ubiquinone, or Coenzyme Q10, is a fat-soluble compound which plays an important role in cellular energy production and cardiac function. The effect of ubiquinone is antioxidative: it prevents oxidation of fats, such as LDL cholesterol, harmful to the arteries. It also restores oxidized vitamin E to its active form. Meat and fats are sources of ubiquinone. Virgino oil is a good source for those who eat meat rarely or never.
Vitamin K is a fat-soluble vitamin that is essential for the formation of blood coagulation factors. It is also relevant for the production of other proteins in blood, bone and connective tissue and the liver. Vitamin K is present in several leaf vegetables such as asparagus, kale and spinach, as well as vegetable oils.
Lecithin is a building material of human cells that regulates fat metabolism, lowers cholesterol levels in blood and improves the absorption and circulation of fat-soluble vitamins.
